Concrete tiles are popular in New Zealand. They are cost-effective and long-lasting and are relatively easy to install on standard pitched roof types. Concrete roofs are also energy-efficient, helping to trap heat during winter.

Concrete roofs also come in a range of colours. While they look great when new, concrete roofs colours can fade over time, especially with the high UV levels in Auckland and New Zealand, but that really applies to other roof types as well

Our Roof Painting Process

1) Moss Treatment
Apply a moss treatment to sterilise all roof surfaces prior to roof repairs and coating applications.

2) Preparation and Repairs
Any broken or damaged tiles are to be replaced to ensure watertightness during the pressure washing of your roof.

3) Pressure Washing
Pressure clean to be performed to remove all excess unwanted materials in preparation for the roof coating system. At this time all gutters are cleared of unwanted debris including a soft wash rinse of the exterior surfaces.

4) Concrete Tile Roof Repairs
All ridge and barge capping, valleys and flashings are repaired or replaced as required. Most commonly, a full re-point of all your existing ridge and barge capping mortar would be required at this stage with a flexible pointing compound. This will ensure durability and weather tightness of your roof for years to come.

5) Sealer and Base Coat
Depending on the porosity/texture of your roof tile, we will recommend a suitable ultra premium 100% acrylic sealer/basecoat system.

6) Top Coats
Two coats of our ultra premium 100% acrylic roof paint will then be applied to your roof in either a sain or gloss finish to the colour preference of your choice.
