Flat roofs or low sloped roofs are frequently covered with a PVC or EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber membrane or with butynol. This type of roofing has proved itself in New Zealand and has been used for well over 25 years.

Modern EPDM membranes are very durable and resistant to UV, ozone and weathering. They are pliable and stretch with movement of the roof structure.

With age though, membrane roofs need to be maintained and may need repairs. Over time cracks and tears can occur and where water does penetrate unchecked, considerable damage can occur to the roof structure resulting in more expensive repairs.

Our Roof Painting Process

Preparation and Repairs
All tiles including ridges and barges are checked for cracks/chips and replaced if required. Pointing will be replaced with Shieldcoats flexible pointing system. Valleys are inspected then repaired or replaced as needed.

Cleaning
Your roof will be thoroughly cleaned to remove all dirt, loose and flaking paint.

Sealing
We will then apply a coating to seal any bare and porous areas and to wet out old chalking paint to ensure the adhesion of our coating system.

Top Coats
Two coats of our ultra premium quality 100% acrylic roof paint will then be applied. Roofbond Membrane coating will be tinted to a colour of your choice and will protect your roof for years to come.
