Iron Roofs and Long Run Metal Roofs are durable since they are not susceptible to cracking or splitting. Because of their smooth finish they tend to remain clean.
Iron Roofs are popular because they are light compared for instance concrete tile roofs and can result in cost saving on the initial build. That however makes them more susceptible to damage from high winds. Our inspection on corrugate iron roofs and other metal roofs, includes a thorough inspection on ensuring the roof is securely screwed down.
Any scratches on a metal roof can lead to rust setting in and ultimately to leaks.
When we paint a corrugated iron roof, we use a rust shield sealer that prevents further rust from forming and we then apply multiple coats for a top coat. This creates a long-lasting and smooth finish where moss and mould cannot get and easy foothold.
We advise to check Corrugated Iron Roofs or Long Run Metal Roofs frequently (every three years) so that any rust spots and leaks can be addressed before damage to the roof structure occurs.
We can repair and paint your Corrugated Iron Roof to look like new.
